My answer is - no I did not. Turns out it's a little hardcore for me! lol! I will finish reading it, because I'm still really interested in how this series turns out - but I will be reading it a chapter at a time.
Meanwhile, I have moved on to The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken. It's a steal at the moment for only 99 cents.
Why did I choose it? It has a 4.3 star rating after close to 500 reviews - I think that's pretty impressive, so I want to get in on that enjoyment too.
I am two chapters in and if I had time to just sit and read, I would have finished it in a sitting. I was hooked the moment he said - "Hey, Jake? Do you know where any rocks are?"
Rachel Van Dyken is a New York Times and USA Today best selling author and has an impressive catalogue of books to her name. This however, is the first of hers I'll be reading, having only discovered the joys of Amazon books in the last six months.
Here's the blurb -
"I have a proposition for you..."
Kacey should have run the minute those words left Seattle millionaire Jake Titus's mouth. Instead, she made a deal with the devil in hopes of putting her past behind her once and for all.
She could do four days!
But she wasn't counting on Jake’s older brother Travis being there to witness their farce of an engagement.
One thing is for certain.
One brother is right for her.
One wants a lifetime.
And one is in league with the devil.
She should have gotten Jake’s signature in blood.
If you're reading along with me, let me know in the comments.
If not, what are you reading this weekend? and what do you think so far?
